The Sales Manager will lead and provide direction to the commercial sales team and assist with new business development. Developing strategic sales objectives including identifying new opportunities and fostering customer relationships. The successful candidate should possess strong communication skills including written, verbal and presentation capabilities. Experience in leading, building, and developing a team that supports the organization goals and priorities. Participating in agreement reviews and proposals for conformity to company rates, rules, and regulations. This role will negotiate with customers, assesses areas of dispute and amends contracts as necessary as well as, act as a liaison with manufacturing, engineering, QA, shipping and receiving. Local and occasional international travel will be a necessity of this position. Ensure all company policies and processes are followed. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Manage the Commercial Sales Team (Inside & Outside) including mentorship, employee development, performance management and recruitment
Identify and execute on opportunities for organic growth
Foster client relationships for the purpose of business expansion, issue resolution, knowledge sharing, and strategic initiatives
Prepare and deliver sales and educational presentations for internal and external purposes
Oversee sales processes including quotation, order review and entry acknowledgement functions
Assist in business planning including budgets, forecasting and inventory management
Act as a liaison for Sales with internal departments to ensure a timely schedule of deliverables
Consolidate information needed for monthly & quarterly sales activity reporting
Ensure all company processes and policies are adhered to
Collaborate with Management to help support and achieve a culture that encourages and promotes safety, diversification, inclusion, and growth
Promote and adhere to all company policies and Forum’s Core Values
Participate and promote Forum’s HSE program and initiatives.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience.
5+ years business development experience with measurable success
3+ years of leadership/management experience
3+ years of Valve or similar industry experience preferred.
