Create new Item Cards, Subcontracts, Bill of Materials, and Routers in Navision. Read and understand new drawing and revisions and make required updates to Item Cards, Subcontracts, Bill of Materials, and Routers. Understand which processes are required in a router based on engineering and quality policies. Gather machine process time estimates from department leads for new routers. Use QRD (Quality Requirements Designator) document to set up part number variations based on customer requirements. Communicate with purchasing department to request quotes for purchase items and subcontracts. Keep and maintain a work log to keep track of and prioritize part requests. Schedule and read daily reports to find and fix any errors or required changes on Item Cards, Subcontracts, Bill of Materials, and Routers to prevent and scheduling errors. Use Excel to edit report outputs in order to evaluate data. Send assembly part info and cost to be added into distribution Nav. Database. Create and maintain Work Centers, Standard Text, and Tools that are used in routers.
Must have a strong knowledge of manufacturing process(es) in use at the manufacturing site (I.E., machining, fabrication etc.). Able to read and understand engineering drawings. Strong background in ERP system in use at the manufacturing site- currently Navision.
