Gas Lift is a cost-effective artificial lift method injecting gas into a well to lift liquids to the surface. It has low operating costs, minimal downhole equipment, and quick repairs. Two types are continuous, adaptable to various conditions, and intermittent, efficient for low-pressure wells. In a Standard Continuous Gas Lift System, gas is injected to propel oil, and valves control flow. Intermittent gas lift may replace other systems in the final production stages. When uneconomical, operators switch to rod pump or electrical submersible pump systems.
