Forum’s Dynacon product line is the industry leader in the design and manufacture of traction winch systems handling up to 11,500 metres (38,000 feet) and more of fibre optic and electro-mechanical cables.

These systems are being used in a conjunction with deep-tow sonar, subbottom profiling, towed camera sleds, and deep-water search and salvage operations.

Dynacon specializes in ultra deep-water applications utilizing traction winch systems. These systems are used in conjunction with deep-tow sonar, sub-bottom profiling, towed camera sleds and deep-water search and salvage operations. These are available in a variety of configurations to suit the intended purpose of our customers.

Some of these traction winch systems have, from the earliest days of Dynacon, included motion compensated deployment, retrieval, and tow cranes as a part of the system. Demand for motion compensated systems has continued, with several being delivered recently.

In the first quarter of 1997, Dynacon delivered a traction winch and motion compensated crane system designed for deep CTD applications. Interest for this type system is growing and represents an emerging market for Dynacon’s developed technology and expertise to be applied.
